Conservation World is a unique experience that combines education and entertainment. It’s not just about catching fish; it’s about understanding the importance of conservation and the role of humans in protecting our aquatic ecosystems. Visitors can learn about the different types of fish, their habitats, and the threats they face.
This year’s fair features a new addition: a “Fish Tank” exhibit. The “Fish Tank” is a 10-foot-long, 5-foot-deep tank filled with native species such as alligator gar, muskie, and catfish. This exhibit is designed to educate visitors about the importance of conservation and the diversity of Illinois’s aquatic life. The “Fish Tank” is a testament to the ongoing efforts of the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) to promote conservation and education.
