DNR Pocket Park to give away fishing gear at UP State Fairgrounds

00 p.m. for the tournament. The annual “Youth Fishing Tournament” hosted by the Escanaba Parks and Recreation Department is back in full swing. This year’s tournament, which began on Friday, is expected to attract over 100 participants.

“We’ll be running it all day from 10 to 6:00,” DNR Nature Awaits Educator Isaiah Olson said. “We understand that there’s some school complications. So, we will still be open from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Come on in. The supplies are as they last. If we don’t run out of them tomorrow, we’ll be open Saturday and Sunday as well.” On Sunday, the Pocket Park is also holding its Autumn Celebration.
